Did you really think I wouldn’t have a post ready to go for you all while I was away?  I couldn’t leave you hanging in my absence.
While perusing the blogosphere last week I stumbled across yet another amazing find by Design Mom.  Most of us have played around with underwater cameras whilst on vacation, but have your images ever come back looking like these????

Oh, they didn’t look like these?  I didn’t think so.  That’s because you have to be a serious rockin’ talent like Elena Kalis to photograph the submerged like this.  You should probably go see more on her website here.

As you all read this I’m on my way to the Big Apple to sit in the audience at a taping of The Nate Show.  Yeah, I came to my senses and realized I was out of my frickin’ mind not to go.  It was a last minute decision made on Monday (yes, yesterday!) so you can imagine my disappointment to miss the chance to go shopping for such a worthy occasion.
In my dream world I think I would don one of Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2010 dresses.  Every piece oozes sophistication at it’s best.  This dress would definitely be my top pick to wear to the show:

I die.  I really do.  But wait, this one is pretty perfect too…

And while we’re at it, I’ll take one of each of these too…

(Good eye.  Yes, Cameron Diaz DID wear this to the Oscar parties)

Sizzlin’ hot, right?   Again, I die.  I bow down and die for you, Mrs. Beckham.

Tired of showing up to a party with the same ol’ bottle?   Next time you need a hostess or thank you gift take it up a notch and try one of these.

Plan ahead and have a few crowd pleasing gifts ready to grab and go.

Happy Monday!  Let’s kick off this week with some nursery visuals.  More than a few of my friends are expecting, and I had such fun decorating my own baby girl’s room that I, of course, didn’t mind looking up some more nursery inspiration.  This room can sometimes end up neglected in the beginning, which is such a shame because this is one space where you can get really creative.  When planning our nursery, my main goal was to create a space where Lilly would feel comfortable and cozy (and it worked- she LOVES her room).  It also doesn’t hurt that I really dig her room too, considering all of the hours I’ve logged in there myself…

I prefer a mix of items that coordinate well together as an alternative to a room with a theme.   Thankfully, there are oodles of items available that would complement a baby’s abode.  Here are a few of my current favorites for a baby girl.

Shopping Guide:
Giraffe lamp- Jonathan Adler
Senegalese baskets- Serena & Lily
Letter lion print- Weedoodle
Shelf with Bla Bla dolls- Bla Bla Kids
Alphabet art- Bookhou
Cloud mobile- Leptitpapillon
Elephant pillow- Rikshaw Design
Bookends- Little Living
Dhurri rug- Anthropologie
Crib bedding- Rikshaw Design
French art print- The Interrupting Lion
Luca glider- Monte Design

I may have to snag those Senegalese baskets for Lilly.

Sorry for the late post this morning my lovelies.  Last night’s free time was spent catching up with a good friend over dinner and trying to coordinate a last second trip to NYC to be at a taping of The Nate Show.  Camila over at High-Heeled Foot in the Door scored me 2 tickets for this Tuesday’s taping just for design bloggers.  I know what you’re thinking, “But you’re not a designer Chassity?”.  And you’re right, I’m not.  Which is why I was honored and floored to be given this opportunity.  Sadly, I couldn’t coordinate all of the logistics in time to make it a reality.  Boo.  Dratz.  Whaa.  Okay, I’ll end my pity party here.

Have you all seen the show yet?  I’m thrilled that we can now get a regular Nate fix.  I’ve admired his style and charming personality ever since I first caught him on Oprah.
