Last night Lilly celebrated Halloween with all of her friends at her costume party.  It was such a good time and we had a great turn out – um 25 kids in our house.  So it was a little crazy but well worth it to see all the kids get together in their costumes.  Here’s some of the pictures I snapped beforehand.  I really had no time- parties always sneak up on me and I run like crazy right before they start.  Thank God for Josh and my in laws, Bruce and Marian, for helping!!

Kid’s Food Table

{Do you spy the Pretty Smitten party package I wrote about here?}

 Exterior Set-Up
{More mice and bats!}
Craft Station (Lilly’s g-ma manned this & helped the kids paint trick or treat bags)
{Lilly must be thinking really hard about getting her paint on}

We made a huge pot of chili for the adults and basically let the kids do their thing to the tune of Monster Mash and other festive songs.  Tonight Lilly will be wearing her Pebbles costume again for trick or treating. So fun!  I think all I will want to do tomorrow is sleep.
Hope you all have a wonderful halloween.
PS, my amazingly talented friend Calder Clark is sharing a Halloween themed wedding she designed and executed last year (it was just featured in the LA Times yesterday) on her blog today.  SO cute, go see!!

I’ve been seeing a lot of pretty fall themed tablescapes lately.  Heaven knows I could use the inspiration.  I’m just not talented in that department.  So I like to get help from the gifted people that do know a little something about entertaining.

And for my Charleston readers, we’re quite lucky to have some very talented local ladies (Tara Guerard & Muffie Faith to be specific) who want to help inspire our fall entertaining this Wednesday at Elizabeth Stuart Design
I’m hoping to have a chance to swing by there to get a book signed and take advantage of the 20% off all products!  Maybe I’ll see some of you there?
And now for our winners of last week’s giveaways:
Congrats to Liz from Sequins & Stripes!  You won the Dani Notes giveaway.
Just email Dani at dani@daninotes.com and she’ll hook you right up.
Enjoy your new iphone case.  I hope you share what you design so we can see!
Aaand congrats to Sarah from La Maison BohemeYou won the Barbara Beach giveaway.
Sounds like you’ll pick the boy’s pocket square vest. Love it.
I cannot wait to see this on your little guys :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekends. Oh, and happy Hallow’s Eve :)

Pop on over to Made By Girl!  Jen asked me to fill in for her for the day while she parties/shops/eats it up in NYC this week.  And since everyone and their Great Auntie Edna reads Made By Girl, I’m assuming you’ve already seen it.  But just in case, I’m sharing who my favorite 6 artists are, and trust me, they will ROCK YOUR WORLD (and are all at varying price points!).  So go see!!

I’ve been looking at this week.  I feel like I need every single thing here.  And one thing I already have! I just want it in another color.  Geesh.

Plaid Blanket: For laying in the park, or just to look at.
Sheer Tie Blouse: Well this is simply perfect alone or layered.
Michael Kors Black Bootie: Can you have enough black boots?  LOVE the slit.
Madewell Fur Scarf: I have to have this.
Pembrook Bootie: Need to decide between the black and this taupe color.  Both?
Helmut Lang Blazer: This is the perfect, flattering cut!
Panama Sunnies: I regularly update my sunglasses and these need to be my next pair.
Saturday Pant: I already have a pair of these and NEED another. So fun.
Green Loafers: I just saw these worn by a girl downtown and they were so amazing in person! LOVE.
So what are your favorites?  Which are the must haves?
PS – Today I’m off to attend Derek Blasberg’s new book party co-hosted by THE Lauren Santo Domingo.  What to wear??  The party details coming soon!

Last night Charleston had the supreme pleasure of welcoming Grace Bonney to town. Dwelling hosted the Design Sponge craft night and book signing party, and I was lucky enough to be in attendance and hang out with Miss Design Sponge herself.

{Um, can we say absolutely adorable?  And she’s as sweet as can be too.
Add her to my girl crush list!}
So as I was saying, the night started with a small crafting party.

And here’s a few of my lovely “craft-mates”.

{Some ladies of Leapfrog PR who helped put on the whole shebang}

The craft du jour was making fabric paint stamps.  I decided to make mine a robot.
I made a onesie for our soon to be baby boy and also ended up doing a little bag for Lilly too!
There was still a little blue on the stamp when I did Lilly’s robot, but I think it still turned out pretty cool.  Here’s a peek at some of the other cute designs last night.
Such a fun night!  Beautiful space, lovely people, all to celebrate one talented blogger’s success and new book!  Congrats Grace.

Did you see?  Caitlin’s fabric & pillow covers line has launched!!
Let the squealing begin. We’ve all been waiting so (im)patiently.  As you’ll see, Caitlin designed the line to be mixed and matched.  So for those that love the mixed pattern look but are afraid you’ll screw it up, here ya go!  Caitlin’s done all the work for you.
Caitlin sent me her swatch book so I could get a good look.  And in case you’re wondering, yes, the quality and colors are there!  So beautiful.  Here’s just a few of my favorites.
So go shop shop shop at Caitlin Wilson Textiles and support this amazing woman/mother/interior designer/blogger (wonderwoman?)!
And PS, tonight I’m going to the Design Sponge craft and book party here in Charleston.  I’ll try with all my might to get that post up for you all tomorrow :)
