That’s where I spent an afternoon last week.  Not a bad place to get to hang out on a gorgeous Charleston day.

{Sally King Benedict’s studio… that’s her.}

And guess what…
Sally has generously offered up her studio for my 30th birthday party…
Can you say dream party??
I’m all sorts of giddy happy. That space makes me feel joyous. When I first saw her text message suggesting her studio for the party I about jumped out of bed (it was 2 am and I was up nursing Fletcher). Needless to say Josh wasn’t as thrilled when I woke him up to tell him about our party plans…

Anyway, back to last week. We spent the afternoon painting. {In case you’ve ever wondered, painting with one of your most favorite artists ever makes for one of the most awesomest of awesome days of your life.}

{My first piece of the day, I had to put it on the easel.}
{And do you spy that beach scene in the background? It’s going to be AMAZING.}
{I’m super proud of this piece above.}

So I’m going to take up painting now. I have always said that I wish I could paint. Well, I had never tried. Turns out I love it and I think I’m not so bad after all.

Thanks so much for the fun afternoon of painting, chocolate muffins, good conversation, and Charleston breezes, Sally. I, along with the rest of Charleston, sure will miss you when you pack up for Atlanta this spring. A true Charleston gem you are.

PS, did you see Sally’s studio + home feature in Matchbook Magazine’s March 2012 issue? Dy-na-mite! So was her maternity fashion.

My super cool friend Amber just launched her new online shop! I’ve been WAITING for this. So excited.

Gorgeous, right?? All of the products are made from antique vintage textiles. Very, very rad.
Shop Amber Interiors and use the code “iheartu” for free shipping on the pillows! Congrats, Amber!
Oh and PS- I forgot to link over this week when I was over at one of my best blogging buddy’s blog, Bijou & Boheme (say that 5 times fast!), sharing a few details of what I plan to see in my new house…  so if you’d like to take a look… Adore that Christine!

Thank you Charleston City Paper for naming Look Linger Love “Best Local Fashion Representation in The Blogosphere“.

Such a fun surprise that was. And big smooches to Erica Jackson Curran for writing up that sweet description. I got to thank her in person at last night’s “Best of Charleston” party which was such a fun time. All the restaurant winners were there serving up good food, great cocktails, and it was a lively crowd to say the least. Here’s a shot of me celebrating with two of my girlfriends.

Check out the rest of Charleston City Paper’s “Best of Charleston” winners here! I’m in great company with other local establishments like Novel, Circa Lighting, The Macintosh, and Poes!
PS… do you like my mixed prints outfit? Don’t forget to submit your look by March 16th! Read about it here.

I’ve been a long time fan of Hanna Nation’s (yet another Charleston talent!) paper line, Gadabout. And I’m going to go ahead and throw her stationary on my birthday wish list. How fun would it be to have a personalized set??  Oh the outfit possibilities. I lean towards the dramatic and feminine…

Aren’t they just the cutest??

It’s a good day because today I get to introduce you all (or at least those of you who don’t know her yet) to Sarah Swanson Design.

I’ve called Sarah a “blogging” friend for awhile now.  I’m immensely proud of how far she’s come and am so thrilled to include her interior design company as a new sponsor here.  Sarah’s design style is all about the individual’s lifestyle. She helps you find the right items for how you live your life. And let me tell you, she has quite the eye.  Here are a few of her design boards…

Told you she was good. Here’s how Sarah describes her style:
“Design boards are my big focus right now.. I’ve priced them great because I like to be busy and love doing them. I’m really committed to making sure the client loves their space when we are done, and we communicate through the whole process..blending they’re style and hopes with mine. I don’t just do up a board of what I think they should do and send it off as done..we keep going until they are thrilled and excited to execute the plan. One of my clients gave me great feedback in that I don’t try to change what they love, I make what they love work in their home..and that’s true. Seeing my rooms won’t be a cookie cutter of my style room after room.. it’s all about them. I think that’s where the success is :) I love the design boards because I can work with clients all over the world, and I don’t think alot of people understand that. We communicate through photos, emails and updated design boards..it’s such a fabulous and affordable way
to get design help!”
– Sarah
Isn’t she just the cutest? Sarah also has a new art shop, Gallery Wall, which is extremely popular. In fact, I’ve even shared it here on the blog before. Her original abstract paintings are all just $10 each.

$10 Each!!

And a peek at the Gallery Wall piece I purchased…
So moral of the story is, Sarah is the bomb diggity and has crazy awesome style. Her E Design Services are seriously a steal at only $150 a room. If your home needs a little pick-me-up contact her!
