Foremost, like many of you yesterday I sat and watched the news feeling complete horror and disgust. What a tragic day in Boston. I can’t even begin to imagine how the race participants and their family and friends must feel. I pray for a safer world for us all. One without senseless acts of terrorism.
My prayers go up to all involved.

In an effort to distract myself from the news last night, I took to “the internets” for beauty. Here is what I found. In the form of a splurge and a steal.

Splurge:
MSGM Tribal Dress – um, wow!
Frieda & Nellie Bracelet – here I go posting about these again.
Tory Burch Tote – love the colors and mixed patterns for summer.
Chloe Sandals – sounding familiar, I think I’ve posted these before too!
Save:
Joe Fresh for JC Penney Dress – gorgeous colors and a pretty ruche back.
Bauble Bar Bracelet – so many cute different ones!
Mar Y Sol Tote – tan and black with pom poms, sign me up.
Report Sandal – really love the white pair too, maybe even more than these.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So have you seen the full Joe Fresh for J.C. Penney collection? What do you think of it? I saw a lot of pretty pieces! And those nautical Bauble Bar bracelets are seriously awesome. I want to mix and match them.
Hi Guys! Happy Monday! I hope y’all had a great weekend. I did! Like, major good. And I’m pumped to begin what is sure to be an amazing week. But first let’s go over a few things…
Remember when I mentioned that I’m taking part in the Home Depot Spring Patio Challenge? Well it has started and a few reveals are already up on their site (not mine yet). So if you need some patio inspiration with some really great ideas (tutorials included) go check out the blogger style challenge feed daily for each new blogger reveal. Because there are some awesome ones participating…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And while I’m on the topic of reminders, for those of you entertaining the idea of attending the Southern Coterie Summit on Jekyll Island in May, get your tickets! Time is almost up.
I’m so excited for this conference. Last week we had a little presenter meet up at Macintosh, and well, let’s just say this is a fun group :) Can’t wait to meet everyone.
I know what you’re thinking, and yes, I do wear that shirt ALL THE TIME. It’s pretty much my most versatile top I have in my closet. I throw it on with pretty much everything, unbutton it and wear it like a vest, or tie it in the front.

And on the topic of pretty clothes. I found the prettiest gauzey cotton maxi dress this weekend. So lovely.

One last thing… summer dessert coming atcha. I mean, s’more dip??!!

I’m pretty partial to skinny tailored pants, but I’m finally coming around to wide legs. I always thought I was too short for them for some reason. But not so much. I’m loving them, especially the breezy, summery kind.

Random, so the fact that I have this picture at all is by accident. My friend Gray was testing the lighting on her camera so I did a little smile since it felt awkward to just stand there while she snapped. But I’m glad that I did b/c, as weird as a picture it is, at least I can show you my new pants that I’m kinda obsessed with. They’re by Savannah, GA designer Mamie Ruth (Charleston friends I picked these up at II Brunettes). Super comfortable and fun. And thanks to these, now I’m all about some wide leg trousers.
Here are a few of my other breezy wide leg favorites.
And these linen wide legs are pretty fabulous in every color!
Now I’m off to run some errands in the rain. Rain booties don’t let me down. Wish I had those duckie flats right about now though. Happy Weekend!

When it comes to bedding I’m more of a window shopper. I love to look, but I never pull the trigger. I get so overwhelmed by all the components and drop it all together. By the time I’ve completed my dream bed, it costs a zillion dollars. You know what I mean?

But really, bedding is pretty freaking important and you spend a ton of time in it. So it goes without saying that your bed should make you happier than most other things in your home. There are a multitude of amazing bedding options to choose from. From sheets, to duvets, throw blankets, pillows, bed skirts…

So why not purchase it in layers? Like, this quarter just upgrade your sheets. Which really are most important.

Links Sheet, Coral Gobi Sheet, Pearl Sheet (all come in lots of colors)

In a few months you could replace your duvet or quilt. I absolutely adore Sally from A Piece of Toast’s new bedding that she got from Bailey’s shop Biscuit. That Jamie Duvet is incredible!!

Then toss on the throw and pillows, and maybe a bed skirt, when you can get to it.

Rosette Pillow (lots of colors), Herringbone Throw (lots of colors), Diamond Pillow (lots of colors)

Purchasing bedding in steps is just so much easier on the budget. Bonus, it will help you get a collected and eclectic look, too!

PS, LLL most favorite of favorites are in bold.

First, I love Y’all. Thanks for the sweet messages on the HGTV feature yesterday.

My friend Alex’ new pillow shop.

She gets the best fabric and makes pillows that anyone, ie you don’t have to be a designer, can buy. Like this orangerie floral fabric that Naomi shared.

Love love love. Congrats, Alex!

I’m also loving Surf Bazaar’s swim collection. These coverups are just darling with the piped color. Don’t you think?
****
These duckie rain flats. I prefer to just step into my shoes right as I’m walking out the door. The less bending over, the better. These are brilliant for warm, wet weather. Equally great for walking in the yard after the sprinkler system has done it’s thing :) I like the pink color the best but the yellow and blue are pretty, too.
****
Lily’s Gold & Gray wood tassel bracelets. How cute would a stack of these be???? So darling.
****
Everything Tibi. Like, everything.
But especially this potpourri scoop neck dress in both color ways.
Would be super cute with Lily’s tassel bracelets.
****
Shawlsmith London’s spring scarf collection.
Those girls were so sweet to send me their flamingo scarf. I flipped a little when I received it b/c it’s so darn cute. It’s huge and light weight, too. Thanks SL!
****
This little tapestry dress. Hello wedding season.
Right?
Not bad on the wallet, either. Gotta love that :)
