Pardon the Tuesday morning interruption but my friend Kate Long Stevenson is making an appearance on One Kings Lane right now and I’m a little gaga over it all. I’m a HUGE fan of her abstracts and she has 7 new originals listed.

Had to let you know. To shop Kate’s pieces go here. To see the whole One of a Kind art collection sale going on (which is def worth the perusal) go here. If you grab one I’d love to hear which one you chose!

Blame my NYFW trip as the catalyst, but I bought culottes. Aaaand I love them. They’re so comfy and fun to switch things up a little. I realize they won’t be everyone’s thing (because let’s be honest here), but I’m digging them. And one thing is for sure, culottes are not going anywhere anytime soon. They were all over the spring runway collections and presentations.

A lot of cool things, right? My top picks include the grey hooded knit jacket, that black/cream reversible tote, and the crinkle jackets, and that easy grey tunic.

Also, you might remember from last year how much I love the Spanx leggings. A  fall staple for me.

Good Monday morning! I got back to town last night from a 3 night trip to MN for my friend Jeanette’s wedding. It was a fun time and great to have a girl weekend with friends that I grew up with, Hannah and Kara. It was crazy cold (like high of 50) and on a beautiful lake at Lutsen Resort. I had never been to MN before.

Travel outfit shot. Wearing this stripe top, these jeans, these sneakers, and this bag. I promised on instagram to find a look a like for less and I love this one, almost identical!

We had dinner one night at The Angry Trout and the food was so freaking good and all the plates had this pretty presentation.

In other life news, my granny and papa came for visit so we ate well for a few days :)

Pretty Smitten sent over some back to school supplies for Lilly and Fletch. That cute Elizabeth has the cutest stuff in her shop.

Lilly and Fletch felt fancy running downtown errands with me. Here they are at The George Gallery.

My friends at Neve & Hawk sent over a fun little tee project for Fletcher. It’s their new Creatures & Features tee collection where you can design your own shirt. Seriously the cutest thing ever and Fletchy loved it! Really easy on my end, too (y’all know I’m not real crafty).

So you get a tee and 2 sheets full of feature options. You’ll also need scissors and an iron. (hey look my iron matches my rug!)

Fletchy loved choosing his favorite features.

Cut out your selections and lay them transfer side down where you want them on your shirt.

Cover with parchment paper and continuously run the iron over them for about 2 minutes. I think 2 minutes, anyway. I don’t have the instructions anymore but don’t worry they send the instruction sheet with every order.

Slowly peel off the paper.

Favorite tee ever!

Isn’t this the best idea? What a great gift idea, too! Lilly can’t wait to do her own Creatures & Features tee next.

Yesterday I checked in on one of my most favorite home and garden shop, Terrain, to see if new fall arrivals were in yet. Indeed they are and they’re amazing as always. I REALLY REALLY want to get a full set of the white quartet flatware (comes in a pretty rose gold color too).

You can see Terrain’s full fall collection right here. Today I’m en route to Minnesota for one of my high school friend’s wedding. So excited to celebrate with old friends. Apparently it’s going to be freezing there which I can’t quite grasp the concept of right now since it’s been so hot. After this weekend I’m home for awhile thank goodness. Everything came at me at once this year.
