Summer is the best, right? I feel like this is our best summer yet with the kids. It’s just easier this year with them getting older. Beach days are simpler, the pool is fun for all of us now (Fletch used to be iffy about it unless you were holding him), and we are no longer scheduling around naps. BUT there is a lot of time to fill. And while my family room has turned into the kids’ private movie theater, you can only let them watch so much tv. So I’m really excited about partnering with Seedling this summer.

Seedling creates really cool activity kits for kids. They have tons of unique activities spanning many different themes and age ranges that are perfect for your child’s imagination on long summer days. I ordered 4 kits that I knew my kids would love.

The Make Your Own Paper Doll Friends kit has been a big hit over here. It’s filled with approximately 30 paper dolls, so this is a project that Lilly & Fletch have been working on for awhile. And like all the kits, it comes with all the supplies you need, even glue.

His finished product. Very proud.

Lilly was really excited about this PomPom Hair Accessories kit. She loved making headbands and new hair ties.

Easy enough for her to do, too. Each pompom has two strings attached that you just tie on.

This Beads Kit is a really fun one, too.

She did this completely on her own. I’m impressed.

If I could make out with a blog post it would be this one. And I feel like maaaaybe I did a similar post last week (and I love all of those things, I do), but I just found more adorable summery things that I just couldn’t let pass by me. You see the dilemma.

pink tunic, charm keychains, pompom tote, blue cover-up,

strappy pumps, white earrings, maxi, feather earrings, suede heels,

embroidered dress, deck of playing cards, eyelet dress

Okay, that Islet illustrated deck of playing cards – OMG how cool are they! Great hostess/birthday gift. And the pompom basket so doubles as a tote and home decor. It’s all about justification sometimes, don’t you think? :) That cold shoulder blue cover-up is ah-mazing. And those nude strappy pumps are so pretty and priced well at $200 (compared to similar options).

And STILL, with all those cute things I think that cream with blue embroidery dress is the cutest of them all.

Good Monday Morning! We are back home from our week on Amelia Island. We had such a great time with my family – about 30 of us. So nice to all get together every year. This was our first time visiting this location. We loved that it was so close to Charleston- it’s only 4 hours and was easier to drive than fly! Here are some scenes…

Father’s Day family pic :) I wore my new tie front white dress (currently on super sale).

(Fletcher’s in this floral shirt and Lilly’s wearing this blue dress.)

It’s not often that I get to spend Father’s Day with my Dad. Here we are with my brothers.

I was more into the pool selfie than Fletch. By the way, we could barely get the Babiator goggles off of him all week – he loves them!

My new Marysia blue bikini, my favorite See sunnies, and Loeffler Randall sandals (currently 50% off).

Family :)

Since we were able to drive down the kids insisted upon bringing their Micro Kickboard scooters. They had so much fun cruising all over the resort. So cute.

We all stayed at the Ritz Carlton on the island, very pretty. It was so much fun making s’mores at night!

I lived in these Loeffler Randall luminescent sandals.

The kids with their cousins. They all play so well together, makes me so happy to see.

Another new Marysia suit that I brought along- love the cap shoulders on this one.

Beach night. My Ace & Jig dress is the perfect beach dress.

Another scallop bikini under my Lemlem coverup. The bikini is this one and it’s actually my favorite out of all of them – definitely the most supportive.

The quality isn’t the best on this picture but this is my sweet Granny who makes the trip happen every year. This was our first year without my papa and he was missed dearly.

On our way home Saturday we stopped by Carolina Cider Company on 17 near Beaufort, SC b/c I just can’t drive by and not. We picked up a pie that we devoured for breakfast on Sunday.

In other news, how about the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriages?! I’m so happy. We celebrated Friday poolside with daiquiris. I love this “LOVE” print. #LoveWins.

My favorite Troubadour dress is 45% off right now!

So, I don’t know how I got along before without this new metallic cooler bag. So easy for beach and pool days.

Pretty Charleston.

That light blue eyelet dress is really the cutest and I want to live in it. And as far as little black dresses go, I really like the drape shape of that one up there. Comfortable but still very feminine.

Like mother like daughter, Lilly digs pom poms, too. Especially on breezy white tops that go with everything.

And the sparkly sandals :) So adorable.

All from Old Navy, one of my favorite places to pick up cute clothes for the kids.

I have a new artist crush. Cutie pie Katherine Jury is an artist in Louisville, KY, and I’m loving everything about everything that she’s turning out.

And these are just a small sampling of some of my favorite works on paper. Her canvases are unreal, too. And oh she has prints and pillows and clutches and what/not made with her paintings, as well. Go take a look at Katherine’s beautiful site.

PS: Katherine we haven’t met, but please come to Charleston so that I can hang with you because I think you’re adorable :)
