Halfway through the week! I’m looking forward to the long holiday weekend ahead. We have a few things going on but it’s not over-planned and I’d like to keep it that way. Anyway, it’s too soon to be talking about the weekend because there are a million things to do before it gets here. Like look at new pretty things and prepare our fall wardrobes because we are all so over this sticky, hot weather.

floral dress, white romper, zigzag dress, gingham top,

grey top, pink flats, denim skirt, black flare top

That black top at the bottom is what I was wearing in yesterday’s post about Rebecca Atwood’s new book (which is an Amazon best seller on opening day by the way). That gingham top that wraps all cute is haunting me. I feel like it’s following me around the web and I need it badly. And that white romper is super adorable and if my chest was a little smaller I’d totally get it.

I’m obsessed with the woven bench and the woven chair. Also that knotted quilt. Happy Tuesday!

Today’s a big day! My friend Rebecca Atwood’s brand new Living with Pattern book is finally available for purchase!!!!

Isn’t it the prettiest book you’ve ever ever seen??

I am very honored to have my home featured inside these pages along side some really amazing homes of some waaaay cooler people (like Sally King Benedict, Michelle Armas, Haskell Harris, and Jenny Keenan Interiors, just to name a few).

This is me being the happiest to be in the prettiest book ever.

Trust me, you should buy Becca’s new book!! You’ll learn all about mixing patterns the right way. You’ll be smart. And you’ll have the prettiest book on the block.

By the way, those pillows next to me are made by Becca, too! But my shirt is not, you can buy it here though.

Good Monday morning to you all. I hope everyone had a great weekend – our’s was fabulous with some beach time, pool time, family time, and friend time. And I always manage a little time to peruse the new arrivals and guess what — there are SO MANY AMAZING THINGS…

We are officially 2 weeks in to our back to school routine over here (Fletcher still hasn’t started though)! Lilly is happy with her class and teacher, loves her soccer team, and is making new friends! I know it’s going to be a great year. To celebrate going back to school Lilly & Fletcher wanted to invite their friends Farris and Charlie over for a pancake party (Fletcher’s request). Cuteness ensued.

I don’t know what we would have done this summer without our Nutone Haven Mosquito Repellent System (remember when I wrote about here?). It’s so nice to be able to use our courtyard and pool and not get eaten up. And I thought I was the worst about mosquitos, but you should hear my kids complain about it! The whole town should be wired with this stuff. Our backyard barbecues run so much smoother now.

Four fixtures protect an average size courtyard or patio. We (and by “we” I mean “Josh”) installed 8 fixtures to ensure our pool area was protected, too. They can be installed in the ground using the included hardware, or attached to a decking or post with the optional mounting flange. You can find more info about installation in this video here. Each Haven fixture releases an odorless, invisible mosquito repellent that won’t harm plants, flowers, or lawns. The cartridges last for a full season and are easy to replace. And you’ll know when it’s time to replace your cartridge because a green indicator light will blink.

The Haven Backyard Lighting & Mosquito Repellent System is a set of landscape fixtures that provide season long, effective protection from mosquitos. Within 15 minutes of turning it on it clears the area of mosquitos, and it’s odorless and silent! You can schedule your system to turn on with the timer control system by time of day or at dusk with the photo sensor.

The girls invited their doll friends to join the pancake party :)

We’re sad to see summer ending but I’m anxious for fall! It’s my favorite season of all.

After lunch the kids jumped in the pool for the rest of the afternoon, clear of mosquito bites and happy. I highly recommend that you check out Nutone’s Haven Backyard Mosquito Repellent System!

So this is not the usual Look Linger Love type of post, but I know that a lot of y’all love college football games and dressing the part… Admittedly I don’t care for football but I do enjoy a good tailgate, and I have found THE perfect tailgating top.

This tailgating sweater has the perfect vintage look, pretty color options, a great fit, and even comes with a cute “Go Y’all” pom pom pin. I know. It’ll be perfect with jeans or a skirt! And it’ll be doubly cute paired with the matching “Go Y’all” scarf!
