10 days! I took a 10 day long break from blogging, I’m pretty sure my longest yet. We had a very Merry Christmas and spent 5 days in Indiana and Kentucky with my side of the family. I don’t know how it happened but it had been a whole year since I had been there last. I know SHAME. The years just go faster these days, and I don’t know, I have no real good excuse really. Can any of you relate?

2019 was a pretty good year for me. It came with challenges, but with a lot of excitements and new beginnings as well (more on that in the new year). No, not more babies, lol! Not that I can call mine “babies” anymore. Just look at those huge kids up there. Fletcher is basically as tall as his older sister! ANYway, if anyone has some Christmas cash burning a hole in their pockets then I have a few ideas for you from a couple end of the year sales happening right now!

SOME END OF YEAR SALES:

Nordstrom: It’s the half yearly 50% off sale! I’m all about easy, super comfortable pieces right now and I’m loving this long sleeve crew neck fuzzy top, these cotton pajamas (into the longer flower top with the legging look), and this slouchy turtleneck tunic sweater!

J.Crew: Take an extra 50% off of sale styles! This underwire swimsuit is one of my favorites that I own! This cozy open front sweater blazer could make even pajamas look pulled together, and also these cute black leather loafers!

Shopbop: They just added so much to their sale section and it’s full of good finds! Like this shawl collar sweater, these seamless underwear, and isn’t the color combo in this sweater so pretty?

Sugar Balm Set – One of the most popular tinted lip balms ever, and this set includes 6 shades – an amazing gift in itself, or break the set up for friends, or keep for yourself :)

Blue/Green Yeti Cooler – Well this is the prettiest Yeti I’ve seen. And did you know that Yeti makes an insulated lunch bag, too??

Rolling Picnic Cooler – With a space for everything and it’s pretty darn cute, too.

If you have a warm getaway on your horizon then you’re in luck because the resort arrivals are so-freaking-cute right now. Bella Tu is always one of my favorite brands to pack for vacation, and I brought this new blue printed midi dress with me to Harbour Island last month and wore it to Thanksgiving dinner. I love the print, the pretty shade of blue, the easy shape, the beaded detail, and the matching tassel tie belt! And it’s super comfortable!

Wearing:

indigo printed midi dress (c/o),

natural woven low heel sandals, blue earrings

Like I said, the new resort arrivals are amazing right now and here are a dozen of my favorites!

How sleep is this swimsuit? Sort of obsessed and it comes in this gorgeous pink shade as well. And with this cover up! I’d like to live in this white dress. And a cute romper comes in handy for so many events (biking, music festivals, barbecues…)!

I know I’m cutting it close on this Gift Guides with Christmas Eve just a week away! But if you’re anything like me you’ve only just begun your shopping and are scrambling for ideas, or maybe you’re just looking for that one extra present for under the tree. Either way, here are a dozen more gift ideas for kids that are sure to please – many are tried and true favorites of ours!

Best Gift Ideas For Kids:

Kindle For Kids – This is high on Lilly’s list this year. The Kindle reader for kids comes pre-loaded with tons of classic favorite books and offers kid friendly book cover options!

Stripe Plush Robe – Is there anything cuter than a freshly bathed child wrapped up in a cushy robe? Nope. There isn’t. The end.

Jellyfish Lamp – So both of my kids have these and are OBSESSED. Like, every single night we have to turn them on (they turn off automatically after a little while). They really look like jellyfish floating around, it’s pretty incredible. They’ve had them for a year and are still so into them!

Stripe Bean Bag – Every kid could use a bean bag that they can move around! My kids love their’s and use them when friends come over, to play Nintendo, and to just lounge around the house. If you’d prefer a more classic look, check out these monogrammable bean bags!

DIY Necklace Kit – I love that these necklaces are back in style, they’re super cute, and I love that it’s a craft activity as well.

Illustory Book Kit – Make your own book – how fun would this be?! This kit give instructions and helpful hints to help your kid write, illustrate, and “publish” their first hard cover, 20 page, professionally printed book!

Faux Fur Coat – DVF x Rockets of Awesome just made the cutest fur coat!! Perfect for a little fashionista.

The Mouse Mansion Book – One our family’s all time most favorite children’s books. Both Lilly and Fletcher loved this book equally. It’s so special that I can’t even describe it. Seriously. A must for every child.

Nailmatic Polish – Safe nail polish for kids that won’t stain AND it washes off with soap and water! Love this brand!

Monster Magnets – Mix n Match magnetic parts to create funny monsters on different backgrounds. These would be great to bring along to restaurants, for travel, or just on a rainy day. They remind me of the paper dolls that I used to love as a kid, but they’ll last longer.

Marysia Swimsuit – I love Marysia’s rash guards for kids, they’re well designed and protective from the sun, which makes my day a whole lot easier! So it’s basically a present for the parents. You’re welcome.

Harry Potter Book – A Scratch N Sniff book from the Honeydukes Candy store from Harry Potter!! I mean, how fun is that!! Perfect for any Harry Potter lover.

Yesterday I started all of my holiday shopping and found myself on Chappy’s blanket website because they just make the best gifts for basically everyone. I discovered ChappyWrap this past summer when I was invited to an incredible lunch hosted by my friend Kristin at the founder’s home on Kiawah.

I can’t believe I haven’t shared these photos here yet! It was such a pretty and fun day with blogger friends. I hadn’t heard of ChappyWrap yet so it was great to get to know the mother and daughter behind the brand and see all of the designs in person.

And drink wine poolside and eat lobster rolls. I mean if only every day was like that.

Their kids collection of mini blankets is seriously adorable. I love the little blue fish print!!

If you still have someone on your list to buy for and are struggling, then here are some great ideas! They’re practically the only blankets we curl up with on the couch these days.

Shop Chappy’s whole site right here and take advantage of free shipping today, too! I have this blue stripe blanket and this creamy high tides blanket (you’ve probably seen them on my sofas in photos). Lilly and I fight over them every night! They’re seriously THE best.

Surprise!! I have another dreamy Giveaway for you today! I’ve partnered with my blogger friends Kristin Chambless and Jillian Eversole to give away an epic Charleston Getaway Giveaway Package!

We’ve partnered with some of our most favorite downtown Charleston spots to curate a pretty dreamy getaway package that makes even a local like me want to have a staycation! It all kicks off with a 2 night weekday stay at Zero George hotel, one of the most charming spots in the city. Zero George is a gorgeously restored historic, boutique hotel comprised of 16 lush guest rooms. The design throughout the main inn and 2 carriage houses is enchanting and is the best spot to relax. And the candle lit Zero restaurant is delicious, as well.

We have a few fun activities pulled together included in this giveaway to make for a perfect Charleston experience! Enjoy 2 Level 3 CBD Pedicures from The Water Room, Charleston’s nail salon with a clean conscience. Not only is The Water Room visually stunning, they focus on clean, non toxic beauty. It’s a truly special experience. Also included in the giveaway are 2 Walk & Talk Tour Charleton Tickets with the Lid Lady, Tyler Wright. I actually haven’t done one of her tours but it is now high on my list. Both Kristin and Jillian sing Tyler’s praises and I’m now wondering where she’s been all my life – must book a tour stat!! Additionally, one of my personal favorites, experience The Gibbes Museum for two! The Gibbes is art collection spans 4 centuries and connects the city’s artistic past and to a vibrant contemporary art scene. Included with the tickets is a snack in The Daily cafe located inside the museum, as well as a special discount in the museum store.

And because Charleston’s food scene is so fantastic, we are also including gift cards to 4 amazing downtown restaurants! First up, a $150 gift card to Henrietta’s! I recommend brunch or dinner at this brasserie, and prepare to stay awhile because it’s just so beautiful that you won’t want to leave! And how about a $100 gift card to the most instagramable restaurant in town, Basic Kitchen! Don’t worry, their locally sourced menu is just as amazing (I love the cauliflower wings for lunch). Next up, a $100 gift card to one of the best french bistros in town, Purlieu! They also happen to have one of my most favorite burgers ever. And lastly, cap off your night with drinks and a bite at Babas on Cannon. This spot is great with friends or for a date night – and the bartenders are some of the best in town!

And we have one more inclusion for our giveaway – a $500 gift card to my favorite clothing boutique in town, Hampden Clothing! I know!! Hampden carries the coolest new designers and spans over 4 retail spaces on King Street, so it’s basically impossible to walk out empty handed. And they were so sweet to dress Kristin, Jillian, and me for our giveaway shoot!
