Good Monday Morning! We’ve been doing some construction on our front entry and the stairs have finally finished! They used to do this tight wonky turn and you’d enter from the right side of this porch. We nixed that and added the stairs out the front! The whole front isn’t done yet, BUT it did feel good to go get some plants for this space and a new door mat! Since the porch is so small I needed a doormat that could handle all the weather and I am SO excited about my Rope Co rug! The plants are Birds of Paradise, one of my favorite plants ever, and we’ve had the planters for a while but these textured terracotta planters are nearly identical! This is our Emtek door hardware that I love! And our gas lanterns are from Circa Lighting. We aren’t sure why they are so black on the glass, if anyone has any ideas…

If your entry needs a good zhush here are some fun ideas!

hanging woven porch swing, black chippendale ceramic planter,

hangling lantern light, lavender wreath, house numbers, terracotta planter,

star doorbell, woven lanterns, woven doormat, black mailbox,

wooden planter, rope co waterproof doormat, woven bench

Oh how I miss my front porch swing bed. So many great ideas here to make a nice first impression!

Happy Monday! We had a cold snap the last few days here in Charleston. My family thinks I’m crazy but cooler crisp air just feels so refreshing to me, as long as I’m dressed for it that is. I’ve been wearing layers for my neighborhood walks and this Cotopaxi fleece jacket from Backcountry is my new fave. I first discovered Cotopaxi last fall when I bought their hooded down jacket and I’ve been a big fan of the brand ever since. I love all of the colors they use in their collection. I have a lot of great Holiday gift ideas for outdoor lovers in this post! If you are a new Backcountry customer then use code LOOKLINGERLOVE for 15% off full-priced items on your first order (exclusions apply).

My leggings are by Prana and are nice and thick and sturdy. Does anyone else keep both summer leggings and winter leggings?

I’ll always love my over the ears headphones but I thought it might be time to get a pair of wireless ear buds. These headphones are by Skullcandy and I love them! They suction right in there and stay!! My Raen sunglasses are polarized and come in a lot of color options!

In that close up photo I love that you can see the blue lining of my jacket – I love that detail. My sneakers are by Veja and I really like their slim classic profile.

Wearing:

Cotopaxi fleece jacket, Prana black leggings, Veja sneakers,

Raen polarized sunglasses, skullcandy wireless headphones

That skullcandy headphones case is the charger for the ear pieces, too! You just put the ear pieces in their slots and they charge. So easy and organized! Here are more ideas for everyone on your list who loves to spend time outdoors!

athletic socks, boys nike pullover, yeti mug/tumbler,

pink sweater, head lamp, theragun massager, guys quilted jacket,

scavenger hunt, white fleece jacket, stripe gloves, nylon bags,

yeti backpack cooler, Garmin navigator,

women’s stripe coat, fleece wallet, black quilted coat, purple jacket

That scavenger hunt kit would be a fun gift for kids! And that headlamp would be good for the guys on your list and makes a great stocking stuffer! Now through 11/14 you can take 30% off exclusive styles from Backcountry, Basin + Range, and Stoic! I adore this lilac GORE-TEX ski jacket!! Here are some more gift ideas I’m loving from Backcountry!

Fall is my favorite time to get outdoors. Cozy layers are such a relief after Charleston’s long and humid summers. I’m sharing my favorite basic layering pieces for outdoor adventures from Backcountry, starting with the best little tee that I’ve ever owned. It’s the perfect shape, not too much fabric and not too little either. If you are a new Backcountry customer then use code LOOKLINGERLOVE for 15% off full-priced items on your first order (exclusions apply).

Backcountry Off-Mountain T-Shirt

But then the great (also tricky) thing about Fall is that some days when you start out with just the t-shirt the weather will cool down and you’ll find yourself needing a layer or two. So you’ll need a really great backpack to store that extra layer, like this Osprey backpack that has all the pockets and hidden spots to stay organized for a day hike or even for a travel day! I love the color combo of my “Ethel Blue” bag.

Osprey Backpack

Back to those layers, this Sweaty Betty sweatshirt is one of my most worn pieces lately. I love the boxy fit with the high neck, and it’s so soft and cozy! It’s not too thin and it’s not too bulky!

Sweaty Betty Luxe Sweatshirt

My FP Movement Tie Dye Leggings are just so fun and comfortable – they’re great for hikes, walks, yoga, errands… you name it!

And for those colder days when you need a sturdier layer this Patagonia Fleece Pullover is exactly what you need. It’s cozy and cute and comes in a lot of great color options.

Check out Backcountry for all the best outdoors finds, and be sure to use the code LOOKLINGERLOVE for 15% off full-priced items on your first order (exclusions apply). Also, starting today through September 13th take 20% off full-price Basin + Range, Backcountry, and Stoic brands!

PS, these are the tennis shoes I’m wearing! I love them so much and wear them at least 5 times a week! They’re on sale, too! And PPS, this is the sports bra I’m wearing! Obsessed!

Today is a great day because I get to partner with one of the coolest sites on the internet, and I mean that wholeheartedly. Backcountry is not just a pretty site to shop, it’s a group of really cool people working together and doing really cool things (more about that later in this post).

But back to the site, Backcountry is geared toward connecting with nature! They have everything from every day items for a walk in your neighborhood, to a hike on a new trail, to camping, to snow skiing, to surfing, to rock climbing, to fishing, to basically any activity you can do outside. Simply browsing their site motivates me. And their clothing is fashionable yet casual and functional. Like this pretty blue trench rain jacket! I love the belt tie to give a more defined waist. It’s currently on sale!

I’m also wearing their on the go ankle pants. They’re a breathable lightweight material that’s easy to move it and are really comfortable! These are actually the in house Backcountry brand which is currently up to 40% off right now through December 20th!

These Backcountry ankle pants are the sort of thing you can throw on for any sort of outdoor activity like a simple walk in the neighborhood or exploring the marsh with your kids! Here I’m wearing them with this Backcountry mock neck fleece pullover, which is also part of their big up to 40% off sale!

Backcountry has amazing brands like Patagonia, The North Face, and Cotopaxi! Lilly was due for a bigger winter coat and this red insulated coat is seriously the cutest. It’s good for snow skiing and sledding as well, which we just might have in our future this year! And how cute is her little convertible waist bag that she so cooly swings over her torso? I’m going to be borrowing that.

Happy Wednesday! This post started out as a “what I’m packing” post but the little getaway I was heading out on with some girlfriends is now postponed. I’m a little disappointed but it’s okay, it’s always nice to have something to look forward to!

I still wanted to share this post today because depending on where you are, colder weather is either already here or right around the corner. Having some warm and comfortable things in your winter wardrobe makes the freeze a lot more fun.

I just got these rocky leather boots from Last and I just really love the purple laces paired with the creamy leather!! They go with my purple beanie hat (which is on sale now)! And I bought my Patagonia fleece jacket last year and it’s just cozy and soft and great for layering.

These plush lined leggings have a little extra warmth thanks to the soft brushed interior lining. And my colorful sneakers are BrandBlack (and are currently on sale). I’m really into their sporty, chunky look right now.

My retro style puffer coat might look familiar because I just wrote a post about Cotopaxi over the weekend. I’ve never met a softer more cozy puffer jacket ever!! Ever. They have a lot of great color combos here! Super obsessed.

My new Everlane curvy cheeky straight jeans are nice and thick with that cool Levi’s vintage style, and they actually fit me! I’ve had so much trouble finding jeans in this style that actually fit my body. And as for those bottles, we had been advised to pack a lot of lotion and conditioner so that’s why I was packing True Botanicals body oil, the moisture lock overnight mask, and my various tinted RMS lilp balms. All products that I use all year long, but even more during the colder, dry months.

And these aren’t shown but easily one of my most favorite winter items ever, these brushed sweatpants. I have them in two colors and live in them!

Summer season is upon us and I’ve never encouraged the kids to play outside more. While parties are still out of the question for us right now, we have opened up a little bit with a couple of close friends. And whether you’re having porch drinks or a little backyard bbq, here are some ideas to freshen up your entertaining game.

I just ordered this set of these beach towels, the way my kids go though them we need them, and they’re a great price! THIS striped ottoman pouf is a major look for less. Citronella sticks never looked so cute – love them in a glass raffia hurricane! And that fan might seem like a weird choice to include, but it’ll help keep flies away from the table, or just to cool you off.
