I headed upstate South Carolina to Spartanburg a couple of weeks ago to visit my good friend Jane Pope. She’s one of the best that there ever was, y’all. A beautiful person, on the inside and out. I was there for a Land of Nod photo shoot for their August issue. I helped Jane design a playroom (and by “helped” I mean did very little) for her sweet kiddos and the Land of Nod team came in to shoot it for the catalogue. Can’t wait for it to come out and show you everything.

While I was there I obviously begged Jane to swing me by her jewelry studio. It’s not a secret that I’m a HUGE fan of her work. Well, upon stepping in I was taken aback. She’s been holding out on us. That studio up there is exquisite and dreamy. I snapped a few pictures with my iPhone so I could show y’all.

Here’s Jane.

A close up of her Vogue feature!

Looking in the earrings glass case. On top is my favorite pair of earrings of hers that I own – her mismatched stud earrings. You don’t have to mix and match them though – she sells them in any combo you want. Also I wish I would have thought to move a pair of her lips earrings in the shot. I gifted, like, 8 pairs of them for Christmas this past year. They’re the cutest.

A few of her amazing rings. I’m getting into rings finally. They’re so fun to mix and match.

A few delicate necklaces. That slate necklace with the teeny diamonds is my favorite. I think. Well at this moment anyway, hard to choose.

This was not a posed shot. She really did get a call while we were there and I just loved the scene. Her art collection in there is so good!

More pretty rings!

Inspiration boards always intrigue me. I could have spent an hour just talking about it with her.

Thanks, Jane, for taking me by your studio and letting me share it here. I hope y’all enjoyed the little iPhone tour of one of my most talented friends. You can view the Jane Pope Jewelry online shop right here.

2020 gave me the winter dress of my dreams, flannel pretty enough to wear with heels for a holiday dinner or with basic white sneakers (like how I wore it this past Saturday). This dress is the coziest most comfortable dress ever. It’s by The Great, a brand I’ve admired for awhile, and this is my first piece!

Wearing:

The Great black & white plaid dress,

DRD diamond necklace, similar red drop earrings,

similar LR gold heels, KSNY red bag, Jane Pope ring

Highly recommend. I also highly recommend flannel in all the forms. Here are some really cute flannel pieces for winter!

This popover flannel shirt is on Amazon Prime and comes in like 9 colors (all real cute and classic!) and is only $30. Perfect for casual days with jeans. And I love these pajamas. This mini plaid dress is a winner, too. Have a great Monday, Everyone!

I’m jumping in on the plastic free Friday movement today and sharing one easy way I cut down on unnecessary trash! I make my own coffee at home (I make drip, no pods), and if I need to be mobile I pour it into a reusable thermal mug! Drinking your morning coffee from a reusable travel mug isn’t a novel idea, hence why there are so many cool thermoses and mugs out there!

Wearing:

similar gingham tote, gold stripe coffee tumbler

oval face leather watch, jane pope gold bar ring

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend! I’m so excited for some slightly cooler temps here in Charleston this week. Who else is ready to wear the new fall arrivals? Today’s post is highlighting one of my favorite brands, Gal Meets Glam, and their new shoe collaboration with Margaux NY!

I absolutely LOVE this new flowery dress (also available here)! Julia, I need you to use this fabric and print MORE!! It’s light and swishy and fantastic.

And it pairs so perfectly with my new pink velvet loafers from the GMG X Margaux collection.

Isn’t this pink velvet dreamy? I just got these loafers and have already worn them a lot. Despite being this saturated pink hue they still go with so much.

My woven bag is new, too. I love the sculptural feel to it. And the two tone jute! It’s by Khaore and their whole collection is super interesting but still has a simple feel to it. You can see more of their designs here.

Wearing:

pink floral gmg dress (also available here),

pink velvet loafer, two tone jute sculptural bag,

jane pope skinny slate ring

I love all of the GMG X Margaux Collection shoes, which is your favorite?

Tweed Pointe Ballet Flat

Ankle Bow Boot in Navy Suede

Demi Ballet Flat in Burgundy Suede

Pink Velvet Loafers

And here are more of my favorite new fall arrivals from the GMG Autumn Collection!

As promised and not a day too soon, here are 10 amazing gift ideas for the moms in your life!

50 Things About My Mother Fill In Blank Book:

How amazing is this 50 Things About My Mother book? The pages are beautiful and the themes are so fun. I’m pretty sure this would make 100% of the moms out there so happy to receive. And ps, there’s a Father’s version too!!

Literally Anything From True Botanicals:

And I mean it, anything from True Botanicals. I’m a devotee, and there isn’t a product of theirs that I’ve tried that I haven’t loved.

Jane Pope Jewelry Fingerprints Jewelry:

I love everything that Jane Pope makes, especially her custom pieces. Did you know that she makes custom fingerprint necklaces?! So sweet to do with your children.

Spring Flowering Cactus:

Now these are my kind of flowers. This cool flowering cactus is unique, just like mom :)

Lake Pajamas:

Because mom deserves to RELAX. These are my favorite pajamas. And they have so many favorite styles and colors.

Slow Juicer:

Fresh juice for Mother’s Day breakfast in this slow juicer? And it’s even cute enough for the counter!

Silk Pillowcase:

Chances are good that you’ve stalked this silk pillowcase online. Anti-aging, anti-sleep crease, anti-bedhead! Everyone who has it swears by it. And it comes in 10 colors!

Linen Bedding:

Pair the silk pillow case with linen bedding – I’m a convert. SO luxurious. I have this bedding set in the eucalyptus color.

Gray Malin Puzzle:

A puzzle that doesn’t make mom want to stab her eyes out? And it’s two sided!! Family game night just got a little cooler. That sounds so cheesy. But you know, Gray Malin IS cool.

A New Basket Tote:

Because moms can never have enough totes and a new bag is always a good idea. This basket tote is chic as hell, because your mom isn’t like a regular mom, she’s a cool mom.
