Life lately…
Last week I lost my grandfather, Joe Aull, an amazing man who changed and affected many lives. We went up to Owensboro, Kentucky for 3 days to be with family and say our good byes. It was great to be with my family and the kids enjoyed spending time with their cousins. Here’s a picture I snapped one morning at my Dad’s house.
Soooo, there isn’t a great way to segue from the passing of my papa to the rest of this post so let’s just do it. This picture below is from a coffee date that I had at Black Tap with Juley while she was visited Charleston.
A snap of Fletcher hanging out in my bathtub while I got ready. It’s pretty sweet how he follows me around. Find a similar storage ladder here.
One of our favorite books, Extra Yarn. It’s a really cute story and the illustrations are beautiful.
It’s been rainy like mad in Charleston lately. But at least it’s an excuse to carry my favorite bubble umbrella.
And favorite rain boots. Loeffler Randall makes the coolest rain booties. How awesome is this buckle pair?
I think we are nearing the end of Lilly’s naps… I regularly find her hanging in the “library” when she should be snoozing. She’s nearly 5 though so we had a long stretch of them while they lasted. This is the souk wool rug. She’s reading Harry the Dirty Dog.
Here’s Fletcher’s teeny tiny bathroom that we don’t yet use. Easier to have him in Lilly’s for now, but one day we’ll all be thankful he has his own.
My cute fall boots! Similar rug here.
So I’ve become addicted to spin classes. Before I go I like to stop for an energy shot. I get the green dragon. Any others suggestions?
A corner of my family room.
Lilly’s Lullie Wallace lunchbox and bento box (we use the insert with this lunchbox).
Fun delivery from Shop Bando and Bauble Bar.
Lilly likes to “decorate” our house with her accessories. It’s pretty hilarious. Here are the shoes.
2 weeks or so ago I helped out with a Charleston video by the Charleston CVB. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Pretty King St.
I’ve been wanting these heels for a long time now. I finally bit the bullet and did it. As far as heels go, they’re really easy to walk in. So excited about them. They’re available in different colors, too.
Thank you Lauren.
Thank you Julie.
Thank you very much Lindsay.
So so sorry about your grandfather. Prayers for you and your family! XO!!
And I need to see more snippets of your house. Every picture I see is beyond fabulous.

I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your Grandpa, xo. I loved this post, you captured some precious moments. Also, your home is so beautiful. Love it!
Sorry to hear of the passing of your grandfather. Glad you were able to spend some time with family however. So many goodies in this post. When my oldest was ready to give up nap time, but I still had the other napping I just got her to read or listen to books on tape. Sounds like Lilly has already figured that one out ;-)
