Let’s chat about the crazy hot Markus Lupfer Lip tops that everyone (okay, maybe not everyone) dreams of…
Right, they’re hot. But the price tag? Well I wouldn’t say they’re inexpensive.
So then, I found this embellished lips top for just $38 by River Island.
Super cute. But how do you feel about this? Total rip off or okay since lip smacks have been around forever? Designs, ideas, layouts… they are copied and borrowed from all the time. Is it okay? What do you think?

I have been rocking lips since high school and I don’t think it’s a knock off ….. but I did order my Markus lips t shirt today. A quarter the price of the sweat shirt….gonna pair under a blazer with black leather leggings.
LOVE the lips trend, but dang this is pricey!

This reminds me of the Chloe pineapple shirt circa 1999. I shelled out a few hundred dollars for the original and then it was everywhere for like $20!
I think the lilac one is cute, but I would never pay that for a trendy sweatshirt. No way jose! I’m not the biggest fan because it reminds me of the Rolling Stones. Ack!
oh my lord I had no idea they were that expensive! daammmn. rip offs arent necessarily fair, but neither is life :) for that price, go for it!!

I wouldn’t call it a rip off, lip smacks have been around forever…I’d more likely say that the designer ripped off the Stones logo. LOL. I don’t think this graphic will stand the test of time, so I wouldn’t pay those kind of bucks for something like that. The $38 top is more likely to end up in closets around America. http://www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
I haven’t noticed this trend, which is weird because I feel like suddenly it’s been everywhere and I just haven’t noticed! That is crazzzyyyy expensive for a sweater! The knock off is a great price for what you love!
I am not a fan of this trend. Not sure why!?? But, I think if you do like it–then you should just get it on “sale”. :)
I meannnn crazy expensive for a sweatshirt. And so not ok to copy a design. I hate that I see it everywhere.
I have to say, I’m not really digging this, but if I had to chose one, it would be the first one, (of course, the expensive one!) because the colors are gorgeous!
