It’s about that time for me to begin dreaming about my holiday house. And by “holiday house” I mean just the little touches I do to our house to make it cozy and festive for the holidays. I wanted to share a few things that have grabbed my eye!

First and foremost if you still don’t have the step in tree holder then you’re missing out, really. I’ve been known to say it has saved my marriage. It’s magic and makes the whole tree set up super simple and easy. I’m obsessed with that rectangular fire/coffee table. Isn’t it beautiful? I found the woven welcome mat on Amazon and think it would really be nice at the front door. That woven pagoda would be SO dreamy dressed up with lights or candles for Christmas. And we have those Santa mugs and they’re just so cute and make coffee or hot chocolate way more fun.

TGIF! Finishing the week with a bunch of home things for my fellow homebody types out there! I just got this brass pineapple drink table this week! West Elm is having a big sale and I had been eyeing it. It could be used for drinks, plants, anything really, and is cute next to a sofa or chair as well! Or by a tub! Man I need more of them. Also, more on my new blue grasscloth console soon! But it’s fantastic.

brass table, blue grasscloth console, white scallop plant basket

While perusing Serena & Lily’s new arrivals I came upon this set of 8 hanging baskets and about flipped. ALLLLL the possibilities.

You can even break up the set of 8 and put them in different spots!

And here are a few more home favorites from around the web!

the color teil – charleston’s own’s beautiful coffee book!

42 pressed candles – the new collection is here! I have this one!

banded towels – love this tailored look.

rattan lantern – my favorite decor!

portrait painting – titled “friends in foliage”. love it.

grasscloth console – the neutral version of my blue one!

blue patterned trays – i love the colors and pattern on these trays!

upholstered ottoman/coffee table – love the shape & totally customizable!

s&l’s new napkins – super pretty and with a pretty holder!

plaid door mat – a fall update for your front door!

blue abstract painting – really loving this piece, alone or in a group!

Have a great weekend, Everyone!

By now you’ve heard of Marie Kondo’s hit show and movement about decluttering your life, getting organized, and sparking joy. Goodness knows I need some serious organizing to happen over here. I’ve been looking at my home in a new way, focusing on items that I don’t love. Where did they come from? Why are they still here? There are some things around here that do NOT spark joy. Maybe you know the feeling? Worn out toasters? Art that is no longer your style? Dingy ceiling fans that make you cringe? Tired bedding?

So today’s home favorites post is a round up of home swap outs! Beautiful every day pieces that will make you happy to be around. Joy sparkers!

A classic outdoor rug to bring new life to your front door or mudroom. A cute mirror to replace the morning one in your hall or powder room. It doesn’t have to be a big change.

I’m sharing a Life Lately post, except that I’m sooo behind on life lately posts and feel overwhelmed by it that I’m only sharing 12 photos. I’m gonna get back on track on this though because I love sharing these posts.

So last weekend we had our annual holiday party! It was pouring rain so it was a little different this year and we had to move everything inside (usually it’s a mix of inside and out) but it was still a blast! I wore this red dress! It comes in black, too.

Our front door for the holidays this year. We normally have a huge blow up flamingo dressed up for the party in our pool, but since it was raining I thought these little guys might be festive. Silly, but fun. My orange magnolia wreath is my new favorite wreath!

We spent Thanksgiving on Harbour Island at Coral House and had such an amazing week. Wish I could be there more. We had dinner at the Dunmore.

Hung out with turkeys.

Our new Weezie Towels in one of the guest bathrooms.

In our Marysia Swim!

I brought along my new white ruffle dress!

Hit 12 years of marriage to this guy.

After Harbour Island we surprised the kids with Disney World. They’re both November birthdays so it was a fun surprise. It was all decorated for Christmas and so magical.

It’s the season for plaid! Love this new puff sleeve blouse.

The new Lake Pajamas store opened in Charleston and you all know they’re my favorite! How adorable is this sleep dress? I love the sleeves!

Aren’t Hanna’s piped pajamas adorable, too?!

I’m already doing better about the Life Lately posts! Second one this month :)

Our front door dressed for the holidays. I have a thing for plaid doormats.

We had our annual Christmas party this past Friday. I never do a good job of taking photos throughout this night for some reason. I do have this on my camera roll from right before it started and am so glad we took the time to snap it. I’m wearing this new black wrap ruffle dress and you can’t see my new sparkly earrings I’m wearing but trust me they’re SO fun, check them out here. Also, I mix pom pom garland with my garland.

I did snap this photo of Anna the next morning after the party floating on the swan

Josh had a birthday and we celebrated with a night at the Dewberry Hotel. The kids helped me decorate the hotel room with balloons and it looked so good. We had friends meet us at the lounge bar there because the hotel is dressed to the nines with the most amazing holiday decor right now. Such a fun night. We went to the spa the next morning and it was amazing as well.

The birthday boy. I’m wearing this dress (a look for less here), a Chloe bag, and these big blue earrings.

The kids love our Christmas train track. It was my grandfather’s.

My friend Molly hosted an amazing night with the founders of La Ligne NYC. The two blondes seated met while working at Vogue and left and started their brand devoted to stripes. It was a lovely, inspiring night and a lovely collection. I especially love this sweater.

Poms on my plaid toes. Also a plaid vest. And speaking of sweaters, this one is amazing.

I love Charleston this time of year, there are so many fun things going on and great excuses to get out to my favorite local shops. This was at Candy Shop Vintage with Deirdre and Elizabeth. My coat is Kate Spade and my gold crinkle leather heels are here!

Our little tree in our mudroom. This lil guy just makes me so happy.

And finally here’s a picture from an amazing afternoon at Out of Hand with sweet friends and the founder of RMS Beauty. Rose-Marie gave us all her tricks and did our make up and it was such a fun day. My favorite RMS items that you HAVE to try – the Living Luminizer, the Lip to Cheek Color, and the Volumizing Mascara.
