Let’s talk about life hacks. Specifically life hacks around the house to make your life just a little bit better. Or simpler. Or prettier. Basically enhancements is what I mean…

Faux Orchids – I’ve said once (or 3 times?) I’ll say it again. Faux orchids for life. Totally lifelike and they don’t die! This collection has the best of them.

Laundry System – Does anyone else hang dry wayyyy more clothing than they ever thought they would? Same. I could use some more laundry system makes is both cute and functional.

Memory Foam Mattress Topper – But wait there’s more – it’s gel infused too to distribute body heat! Because good sleep is priceless.

Make Up Towels – Tired of makeup stains? Me too. I love these navy towels so much.

Cane Media Console – Cute, organized, and hides all your stuff.

Color Coded Weights – No excuses and aren’t they just pleasing to look at?!

Faux Monsterra Plant – Piggybacking off my faux orchid and going bigger because bigger is better!!

Navy Frame – Framebridge’s latest frame fills that need we didn’t even realize was festering. And don’t you just feel happy with art on your walls and family photos FINALLY framed?!

Linen Wardrobe Boxes – I have a bunch of these and can personally vouch for their quality!!

Wool & Wood Hooks – I mean how fun are these wall hooks?? Would be really fun in a kid’s space, too.

Glazed Stoneware Dinnerware – I love this set that I almost made it an entire post (and still might). And they’re from Pottery Barn – which to me just makes really good everyday dishwater. This set feels much more modern than the set that we have from when we registered like 15 years ago. So many of our plates are chipped, I think it’s time for me to start fresh. I want to be cool and do a color but we all know I’d do the ivory white.

Sponsored by Nordstrom and Shopstyle.

I’m so excited to partner with one of my favorite stores, Nordstrom, to share some of my favorite things today! You may remember a blog post I recently wrote about Nordstrom’s collection of Bloomr faux plants that could fool anyone. Well I ordered the white orchid fluted planter and I can officially confirm, it fools everyone! And I don’t even have to take care of it. Game changer!

My pink henley sweater is also from Nordstrom and has a comfy slouchy shape perfect for hanging around the house or running errands!

I’m really embracing straight style jeans this winter. They lend themselves well to the more laid back lifestyle we are all living, and they’re comfy!

Colorful wall art is all over my home, and Nordstrom has a wide collection of beautiful framed pieces!

This pink double orchid is a show stopper! Would make a beautiful gift, too. You can see the whole Bloomr faux collection on Norstrom right here. Don’t forget that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns, as well as a buy online and pick up in store or curbside option! And if you’re a Nordy Club member you’ll earn points and rewards with each purchase! Now is a great time to join before all of your holiday shopping!

We recently enjoyed a little staycation at the newly renovated Post House Inn in the Old Village. Every single inch of the hotel is gorgeous. Ben and Kate Towill of Basic Projects (you might especially know them from Basic Kitchen) are the new owners and are the genius behind the design and amazing menu at the restaurant. Here are some of the photos I took during our stay.

There are only 7 rooms in the Inn and they’re all special and unique. We were on the 3rd floor in room 5! I loved it.

Sampling the mini bar in my PH robe for the full experience.

The kids checked in with me so they could see the hotel, but stayed at their grandparent’s that night. Josh met me in time for cocktail hour and dinner at the restaurant downstairs, which is one of my favorite spots in Charleston. I’ve been at least 1 -2 times times every week since they opened. It’s nearly embarrassing but it’s true. My favorite dishes included the butterbean burger, the regular burger, the crab toast, and the fried chicken! And the fried polenta!!

Breakfast is included with your stay and is the most beautiful display. You can have it in your room or downstairs.

Note the wooden frame glass dividers for social distancing. Easily the most chic dividers ever.

If you’re looking for a great spot to stay and/or eat in Charleston you must check out Post House Inn. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

A few special highlights – the linen bedding is what we have at our house and it’s truly the most magical set – they just got in some new pretty color shades! This creamy turtleneck dress has the cutest swing and will be SO cute paired with boots (ahem like THESE) or sneakers! The blue and green color combo on this cozy sweater is what dreams are made of. I love the skinny strap on these black leather ballet flats. And this pink sweatshirt?! Yes, please!

That espresso machine is like a work of art. Those door rugs are perfect for fall and all your pumpkins and mums. The small boxes are beautiful storage vessels for your things around the house like keys, wallet, phone… I LOVE the idea of a honey jar (but would have to keep my kids out of it). And those copper stackable cooling racks would be handy to have for all the winter baking!

How great is that ipad/cookbook stand?? It would look beautiful kept out on your countertop. And i just ordered some of those reusable stasher zip bags – my friend Haskell just brought them to Pawley’s Island and they were basically the best thing since sliced bread. You can boil them, freeze them, put them in the dishwasher… they’re great for school supplies or anything really. And how cool is that indigo lion watercolor?! So pretty! We’ve been making a lot of charcuterie boards lately, and those basket weave knives and spreaders would be the prettiest touch.

I hope your week is off to a great start! By the way, Serena & Lily’s newest arrivals are prettttty great – check them out right here! I especially love this accordion screen!
