I’m so excited to have Kirsten of 6th Street Design School as a guest feature today.  She is a bright and budding interior designer out of Utah with a serious eye for style.  You may remember Kirsten from my Nate In New York post (isn’t she adorable?!).  If you haven’t yet visited her blog, then you should take some time to go browse.  She is hands down one of my favorite blogs to read daily for interior tips, and should be yours too!  Kirsten, I’m honored to have you today.  Thank you so much for putting this together for my readers.

I love decorating for fall. Some of the most simple accessories can give your home that warm harvest feeling.
Here are a few of my favorites.

Feathers
I think a simple feather can really give off the essence of fall. Especially a beautiful quail feather.
Fruit and Nuts

I love nuts mixed with fruit in the fall.

Leaves

The great thing about leaves is that they are all around in the fall. Just pick a few up and spread them on your table or fill a vase with them.

Remember this post I wrote asking if you would rock socks with your heels?  I said that I would.  I did.

LA Made dress, J.Crew belt, J.Crew booties, Banana Republic socks, Coach sequin bag
What do you think?  Did it work?

Charleston Magazine is definitely one of my favorite reads each month.  Sure, I live in Charleston so it should be, but they always fill the pages with insightful stories and beautiful images.  September’s issue didn’t disappoint either.  Check out this Sullivan’s Island waterfront home.

I love the coordinating light fixtures in the photos above.
These marble stairs make me feel all sparkly inside.
If I lived in this home I would curl up in that cabana with this throw and a glass of wine every evening.
If you would like to see more of this house and read the full article head over here.

The last couple of days have been a whirlwind (the awesome kind).  Tuesday morning I jetted off to NYC and was happily met by what I would describe as fall!  Oh, Heavenly fall.  But I had plans ladies and gents, so I quickly checked into The Hudson Hotel which was conveniently located nearby CBS Studios.

It was lovely, and the rooms were hip and tiny as all get out.  But that didn’t matter, I had a show to see!  So after a quick, streetside lunch with some other bloggers we headed over to The Nate Show.  I met some of the bloggers behind the blogs I’ve stalked for so long, as well as some bloggers I’ll happily follow now as well.

How cute is Liz from Shorely Chic in Connecticut?

Here I am in the studio with two amazing interior designers, Bryn and Kirsten.  I was really excited to meet Kirsten in person because we’ve been emailing back and forth the past couple of weeks.  She’s writing a guest post here on Look Linger Love featuring her top fall decorating trends.  Be on the lookout because you will not want to miss it, trust me.

Nate graciously took some time to answer a round of questions after the taping ended.  He seemed really laid back and exactly how I imagined he would be.  You can get a pretty good view of the set here.  It was gorgeous.   See those items on the glass coffee table in front?  He expressed how he’s sick of seeing them and wants to replace them with something new.  Aren’t we all a little like that?   Oh, and if you’re digging that dhurrie rug you can buy it here from his HSN line.  I have one in my mudroom and love it!
After the show ended I bid farewell to my new bloggie friends and set off for dinner and a couple pomegranite margaritas with a dear friend.

It was a wonderful New York minute and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to experience it.  I don’t yet have the date of when the episode will air, but I’ll let you all know when I get word.
